The courses have a weekly duration, from Monday to Friday.
The group lessons of the General Course usually take place in the morning, from 9:15 AM to 12:55 PM.
Each morning there are 4 lessons, each of 50 minutes (in a rare situation that the classrooms are occupied in the morning, the lessons will be postponed to the afternoon).
Individual and/or thematic group lessons take place in the afternoon or evening, depending on the type of course you have chosen.
On 15 August (Ferragosto, a public holiday in Italy) the school will be closed.

With only one student per class, you are entitled to 2 individual lessons per day instead of 4 group lessons.
With two students per class, there will be 3 lessons per day instead of 4.
NB: in these cases, the fact that there are fewer lessons per day is compensated by the advantage for the student of being able to benefit from individual (or two people) lessons.

We divide the students into classes according to their different knowledge of the Italian language: elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate and advanced (defined by our teaching staff on the basis of the teaching parameters adopted by the school).

In order to determine your starting level, we ask each student to answer questions during our entrance assessment test.
We will send you the placement test by email after enrolment in the course and you will send it back to us for correction before your arrival.
If you don’t have time, don’t worry: you’ll be able to take the test here, when you arrive, on Monday morning.

6-8 students: this is the maximum number of students per class in Italiano in Riviera.
Few students per class has many advantages: more care and time for each student, more opportunities and ease to socialize with teachers and classmates.
